1. Super Cruise
There's something about the idea of a self-driving car that excites us. It's been portrayed in sci-fi movies for years as a sign that civilization is truly progressing, and each generation seems to be convinced that they'll be the one to make it happen.
Now, we're proud to report that Cadillac has done it. The future is finally here, and we call it Super Cruise.
So How Does It Work?
Well, it requires two types of technology, according to J.D. Power. A driver attention system and precision LiDAR map data. Your Cadillac is equipped with a series of cameras and radar sensors that help make this possible.
Is It Hard to Use?
Super Cruise is incredibly easy to use. Simply turn on your adaptive cruise control. The Super Cruise icon will appear in white on the instrument cluster panel when it's ready to activate. Then simply press the Super Cruise button conveniently located on the steering wheel, and you're ready to go. When you need to go back to driving the old fashioned way, simply press the button or lightly tap the brakes. It's that easy.
You Mean I Never Have to Look at the Road Again?
While this might imply that you can just relax while the car does all the work, that's not quite the case. Super Cruise requires your attention, and will shut off if your eyes aren't on the road. A small camera on the top of your steering wheel will be able to tell if you're watching the road or streaming Netflix. The good news is that you don't have to have your hands on the wheel, which is really nice when you have a long commute ahead.
Which Models Have Super Cruise?
Super Cruise is available on the 2018 and 2019 CT6 models. We're excited to announce that Super Cruise will also be available on the upcoming 2021 Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT5, as well as the completely-redesigned 2021 Cadillac Escalade.
When Can I Use Super Cruise?
While Super Cruise is a very useful tool, you can't use it all the time. It's currently only available on limited access freeways. It also won't work if there is inclement weather. That being said, if you face long drives to work everyday, you'll fall in love with this feature.
2. Cadillac User Experience
Infotainment systems are quickly becoming the norm in new vehicles. What isn't the norm is a high quality infotainment system. Just because you see a large screen placed in the dash, it doesn't mean that it's intuitive or easy to use.
That's where Cadillac User Experience comes in. While it's easy to touch and navigate, you can also use voice commands. Using your infotainment system has never been so easy.
Voice Commands
The Cadillac User Experience makes placing calls easier than ever. You can also simply state what song you want to listen to or name your favorite restaurant, and the Cadillac User Experience will take care of the rest. No more trying to guess how to type in a specific destination.
Navigation
Not only can you use voice commands to pull up the navigation, but Cadillac User Experience pulls up your destination in real time. You'll know you're about to hit a traffic jam before it comes up, and can reroute before you're stuck in traffic for the next two hours.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
It doesn't matter whether you prefer an Apple to an Android. Cadillac User Experience is able to connect to your device, no matter what brand it is, making life easier.
3. Connected Services
Keeping up with your vehicle maintenance can quickly slip your mind when you've also got to get to the doctor, schedule a meeting with a new client, take your dog to the vet, and hit the gym. With Connected Services, you don't have to worry about it, because your Cadillac will remind you.
With tools like Vehicle Diagnostics†, On-Demand Diagnostics†, and Dealer Maintenance Notifications†, you will receive regular updates about the health of your Cadillac. Keeping up with changing your oil and knowing if your tires need pressure is no longer a hassle.
4. Cadillac Mobile App
Sometimes you need to have access to your car when you can't physically go get in it, like if you're in the middle of a meeting and realize you didn't lock your Cadillac. With the Cadillac Mobile App, it's not a problem. Simply open your Cadillac App, and lock it. You can also remotely start your Cadillac, use turn by turn navigation, and schedule service appointments.
Owner Center
Do you have questions about that button on the steering wheel that you've never used? Rather than breaking out the owner manual and flipping through countless pages, simply pull up the Owner Center feature. You'll find an electronic version of your owner's manual, as well as how-to videos, warranty information, and more.
Maintenance and Service
Scheduling an appointment with our service center here at Sunset Cadillac of Bradenton is easier than ever. Simply open your app, and tell us what you need. We'll take care of the rest.
Help Center
We all have questions from time to time. The Help Center is there to answer your burning questions.
5. Amazon
Everyone loves the convenience of Amazon. Simply go online, find what you want, and have it delivered straight to your house. But what if you aren't going to make it home until late? Don't worry, we've got this.
Alexa
Not only does Alexa make life easier in your home, but it now syncs with your Cadillac. Alexa can do things like lock or unlock your car, start it on those cold days when it's frosted over and you don't want to go out, or offer help.
Key by Amazon
Are you unable to make it home, and you don't want to leave that birthday present sitting on the porch all day? No problem. With Key by Amazon, you can have your packages delivered to your Cadillac.
6. SiriusXM

There's nothing like driving down the highway listening to your favorite song on the radio. Until that annoying commercial comes on that seems like it lasts for thirty minutes. Of course, it doesn't last quite that long, but a typical commercial break can last up to five minutes. That's a long time to hear about products you don't actually want.
That's where SiriusXM comes in. You'll never have to listen to a commercial again, and you'll have 24-hour access to your favorite music and shows. When you buy a new or pre-owned Cadillac, you get a three-month subscription to SiriusXM.
