2. Performance
Cadillac leverages technology to build performance-enhancing features. It features an aromatic electronic limited-slip rear differential that directs torque to the rear wheel. This maximizes traction when cornering or during spirited maneuvers, rain and snow.
Here's a performance breakdown of Cadillac's popular models:
V-Series
The V-series uses advanced magnetic ride control technology to read the road 1,000 times per second. This adjusts damping and inspires a better ride and handling. It uses a Brembo braking system.
The 2023 CT5-V Blackwing leads the V-series performance lineup. It uses a 6.2-liter V-8 to produce 668 horsepower. This sport sedan can pair with a six-speed manual ( hits 60 mph within 3.6 seconds) or an optional 10-speed automatic transmission ( hits 60 mph within 3.4 seconds).
The V-Mode customizes performance. It allows you to control the brake feel and engine sound.
EV-Series
Cadillac flagged the 2023 Lyriq as its first electric vehicle into the motor market. The 2023 Lyriq features a 340-hp electric motor on the rear axle that provides adequate acceleration and responsiveness.
Lyriq comes with an optional 500-hp dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain. It uses an engineered braking system that allows for one-pedal driving. In 5.7 seconds, it hits 60 mph.
The 102.0-kWh battery capacity gives it an estimated 312 miles driving range per charge.
3. Craftsmanship
Every Cadillac model is crafted for perfection with detailed and authentic materials. The craft features cut-and-sewn leather, natural woods, and premium metals.
Here's a glimpse of Cadillac's art:
Comfort
Cadillac motors are tailored for high-quality comfort. The CT6, XTS and Escalade models have massage seats to help you de-stress while driving.
CT6 Platinum comes with extended comfort front seats. They have 20-way adjustability and 15-message settings featuring heating and ventilation.
The Cadillac interiors can be divided into various climate zones using Tri- and Quad-Zone Climate systems. This allows passengers to customize their temperature and airflow.
Materials
Cadillac features exotic woods with natural beauty and calming aesthetics. The craftspeople use cut-and-sew to stitch and finish upholstery leather details. CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models come with premium materials that inspire their performance. They include:
-
Sueded-microfiber
-
Carbon-fiber accents
-
Torch Red seat belts
-
Semi-Aniline leather seating surfaces
Design
Cadillac integrates curated natural-wood finishes, cut-and-sew leather appointments, premium fabrics, and superior technology into its designs. The design features a standard-inch OLED display and a quality infotainment system.
Cadillac cars like Escalade have ultra-modern lighting, light blade LED lamps, bold lines, and exclusive accents. Its ultra-view sunroof provides panoramic views for enjoyment.
Cadillac motors are spacious enough to meet all your cargo needs. Their stand alloy wheels accentuate each trim when in motion.
4. Sustainability
Cadillac champions a sustainable future with its product design, engineering, manufacturing processes, and facility operations. By the end of 2023, Cadillac's Spring Hill Manufacturing plant will rely 100% on solar energy. This facility produces the all-electric lyriq and internal combustion engine XT5 and XT6 models.
Cadillac's Lansing grand river assembly partners with First Solar, Inc to source 180 megawatts. It produces CT4 and CT5 internal combustion engine models.
Cadillac aims to be an all-electric automobile at the end of the decade. It plans to use an ultium battery platform and supporting technologies to achieve this goal. The Lyriq model marked the beginning of Cadillac's EV portfolio crossover.
